and a single white halo of EXPRESSIONS

A group of budding and expert painters and designers who contributed passionately towards Techsurge and Mridang. It provides new artists a platform to showcase themselves in various competitions and events.

Expressions have brought up the name of college by winning laurels and appreciations. The most recent being in the IP fest- Anugoonj.

THE GREEN CONCEPT .., Environment Initiative that started with a motive of giving our Delhi the green cover which it has lost and is continuing to, on 23rd JULY 2010 as a small but strong beginning in an effort AND MASS AWARENESS towards unique selfless and social initiative by youth from all domains in Delhi, India. Who realize their importance of small endeavors and has taken charge of bringing a revolution.

Our research in the environment domain educated us that in the world OF DEFORESTATION, climate change had developed from being a fringe concern, focusing on the Social Responsibility of improving the bruised part of EARTH , to an increasingly around the globe.

Based on these findings, we created various platforms whereby we intend to expand the scope of our campaign to make Climate Change into an India wide imperative.

All Hail AURA, the Western Dance Society of MAIT.
It was formed back in 2005. Since then it has constantly won accolades in various college festivals including IIT Delhi and Anugoonj.
AURA is one of the first societies formed at MAIT and it has evolved into a society with strong values and determination.
The Delhi Dance Fever, the biggest inter college Dance Event in Delhi wrote,

“Aura, the Western Dance team of M.A.I.T, has a very strong foundation, with a stern faith in their seniors. Their maturity, binds them together.”

As this maturity evolves into mature dancing AURA continues to be the shining star of MAIT!

A joint initiative of the 3rd n 2nd yr students announced the constitution of PANORAMA in 2010 – the first of its kind PHOTOGRAPHY SOCIETY of MAIT, under the aegis of SPARK – the well renowned cultural society of our college.

The society organised its first event in 2010 under Techsurge & Mridang’10 and became one of the MEGA event of the fest.

ENTREPRENAEURSHIP DEVELOPMENT CELL

Constituted in 2011, EDC is a non-profit organisation voluntarily run by students of MAIT Delhi. We create awareness among the students about Entrepreneurship via a large gamut of events and workshops.
We also support upcoming Entrepreneurs by providing them necessary resources such as mentors, consultancy, seed fund and networking.
Keeping in mind the current state of economic affairs, entrepreneurial empowerment has been readily supported by the Govt. Of India, to help budding minds carve out a niche for themselves, thereby making the economy more robust.

WSN bags 3rd prize at GGSIPU project competition

CSE students from final year bagged 3rd prize at the GGSIPU Annual Inter-college Project presentation. The students made project on “Wireless Sensor Networks with mobile integration”.

The competition saw over 23 teams from various colleges, each representing a great thought idea.

The trio were Umangjeet Singh, Ashish Anand & Shashank Agarwal who won the prize.
